THE WEIGHT OF TEAR

Bring your fish to me
From your ponds and from the rivers
And leave them here in this desert
Worry not for they shall not die
Of thirst and heat
Believe in me and bring your fish to me
From your glass chambers and from tanks
And let them swim in this desert
They shall find life but not death
For life begins with search
Their search for next breath
Bring your fish to me
And help me turn this sand
To drops of life
Bring your fish out of their waters
There is this desert waiting
To turn into a sea
Let your fish come down
To swim here with bliss
Believe in me
Believe in me
Believe in me
Let the goodness in you
Never limit to words
Like the fish in aquariums
Let it come out
And walk once
The streets of slums
The roads of pain
There is a life waiting to come back
Like a desert waiting to be sea
Turn the little hopes to smiles
Like the sands to waters
Believe in me
Bring your fish to me
To this desert of love.

RAIN OVER ME

It rains
Forever
In these deserts
Inside us
Wetting our seeds
Of Pain and cactus
To growing into jungles

It rains
Forever
All the way
We shiver
To the heat
Of the water
Boiling in our eyes

It rains
Forever
In the wombs
Of irrelevant mothers
On the beds
Of irrelevant fathers
Of this irrelevant progeny.

It rains
Forever
Till the heads
Come to zero
In these wars
Of tomorrow
Of love and Lust

And when the rains stop
I shall go dry
In the good suns
Of nature and brotherhoods
In the sacred breeze
From the mountains and woods
I shall die with smile, in this Great war of Peace.

Black Ice

The slim rays from the gaps ,
Touching my wrinkles with hugs,
Make me pause my life
For a while and look out
Of the windows of rife
Into the meadows of right.
The silver flowers
And the copper beaches,
Flow out of my books
Onto the floors
The windows then began to melt
Unchaining my hands to space
The walls joined to contract
Into wafers, thin and nice
I grew back to a small child
Walking alone in some nowhere
I liked the vagueness around
For it makes me happy inside
The jungle came back and
So the animals and waters
As the cities faded into
Some lucid dream I shall never pick up
The slim rays from the gaps
Of distant skies touch my lips
With kiss of love and independence
And whispered into my ears
‘you shall go and live,
Every moment of life’.
Into the gardens of uncertainty,
I walked in, with smile and poise.

In

there was black light
and bright darkness
all along the street
of our ignorance
I picked up the blackness of light
and wove it in to fine threads
to make a blanket , black but burning
I took it into my hands
and swept a layer of air
with pain but happiness
only to blow off the darkness.
it took me years
and I roamed to every corner
of this glowing darkness
blowing it into thin air
as the days came to end
the blanket and my face
lost their darkness to this errand
I stand now alone but surrounded
facing the new shine
slowly creeping to every mind
pushing everything to begin
a new life, a new day under this new sun
I stand now alone
as this new happiness filled in
every inch of flesh and blood
giving me a way to worthy ruin.

THE Address Of Love

It looks up high to the clouds above crying not to rain on the mud at its feet for it fears, for sticking for long time.
It waves to the growing winds from east praying them to erode it inch by inch.
Its a pole.
A pillar that stood in the centre of crossroads.
A pillar once so important.
As much as the rest three to support the kingship.
But the kings are gone and the kingdoms got lost in time.
And the roof flew away with the winds of democracy.
The pillars stood alone for years.
Till the Time and people around tested their strength.
Revolutions fed to histories a lesson.
The rebels learned them well.
They have got tools and patience.
Every night they chipped off each pillar ounce by ounce.
It took them faces and years.
But they did.
Three of four were down.
But not this one.
I was a child when it got me well.
I looked at it every other night under moon and lights, its faces and its agony.
Its wanting to die and its prayers to heaven above,if any.
The village grew into town.
I saw the heads of arch roping the suppressed to its body, beating them all night till they die.
My father weaved a story from epics to stop me wondering much.
Its the story of fate.
Of agony and Gods.
I grew up passing by the pillar for years.
My school changed. The city changed.
The roads around it changed.
The town turned to city.
To make the pillar more painful, the mayor cemented its base.
My house was multi-storeyed and I grew old. Nobody touched the pillar.
Nobody dared.
I didn't know why anyone couldn't.
My father's story of fate still lingered in my room infecting my son.
I see still many dead by every morning.
Tied up all night to that pillar and beaten to death.
I grew old and old only having this wish to see someone rooting it out for once and all.
I may die soon. Why cant that pillar have death like me?
Why cant I kill it and take it with me to the pyre?
And that morning I got up from my death bed and walked to the crossroad with a shovel.
I knocked the pillar with as much might I could.
The sound woke up the city soon but I resumed my last job.
People gathered slowly and looked at me with surprise.
With weakness growing and eyes going blurred I slowly lay myself on the pillar to rest.

I felt its love for me.
I felt the dying.
I know its taking me in.
I felt my poems being read.
I felt the last minute.
I hope the pillar too felt the same. I was alone.
Lying lifeless and loveless.
